Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels is heading West to Kansas, Colorado and another undisclosed location for a series of fundraisers to benefit Indiana House Republican candidates.  While in Kansas, he’s going to be the guest of honor at the Kansas Republican Party’s Red Ball and Boots Reception.

Kansas Republican Party Chair Amanda Adkins today announced the party will host Governor Mitch Daniels, Jr. (R-Indiana) at its inaugural Red Ball and Boots Reception.

“Members of the Kansas Republican Party will gather this weekend to celebrate the 149th year of our state’s statehood. We are honored Gov. Daniels is taking part in our first Red Ball and Boots,” Adkins said. “He inherited a state facing a $600 million deficit when he first took office and within a year, transformed it into a $370 million surplus – without a tax increase. His dedication to strong fiscal policy and Republican values reflect what all Kansans want, leadership you can trust and vision in which you can invest. We look forward to learning firsthand how Governor Daniels turned his state around while so many states, including Kansas, struggle to balance their budgets.” — Kansas Morning Sun
